Spring-Summer 2024 Haute Couture Show

Artist Isabella Ducrot's installation, Big Aura, adorns the walls of the room hosting the presentation of the Dior haute couture collections in the Rodin Museum gardens. For the set design of this Dior haute couture spring-summer 2024 show, twenty-three oversized dresses, some five meters high, are arranged on a composition of irregular black stripes reminiscent of weft and warp.

Big Aura

For the staging of the Dior spring-summer 2024 haute couture show dreamed up by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Isabella Ducrot has conceived a monumental installation entitled Big Aura, composed of twenty-three dresses – about five meters high – the dimensions of which are deliberately disproportionate to the body of an ordinary human. This powerfully symbolic artwork – carried out by the Chanakya ateliers and the Chanakya School of Craft – fully reflects the uniqueness and essence of haute couture.

For Maria Grazia Chiuri, the Dior haute couture spring-summer 2024 show represents a new opportunity to initiate a dialogue between the essence of Dior fashion and its contemporary evolution. One by one, the looks breathe life into the House's archives through innovative contours given to eternal pieces such as the La Cigale dress, created by Christian Dior for autumn-winter 1952 and reinterpreted in a spellbinding cherry red strapless version. In turn, the emblematic Miss Dior dress is reinvented in a bright yellow variation, a dazzling punctuation that sublimely illuminates the collection
