Christian Dior loved to escape to the south of France, far from the hustle and bustle of Paris, to replenish his energy and draw inspiration for his future collections. While staying at his Château de La Colle Noire, he took great joy in exploring the Bay of Angels and the hinterland of Nice where jasmine grew abundantly in the late summer.
Of all the flower's dear to Christian Dior's heart, jasmine quickly became synonymous with those endless summers, when the air filled with the delicious scent of jasmine and diffused its almost intoxicating fragrance.
