Bergamot

Grown in southern Italy, the essence of bergamot is obtained by cold expression of peel. It brings a distinct, sweet freshness to fragrances and adds a special radiance to citrus notes.

Jasmine

The symbol of soft femininity, jasmine is a rich, faceted flower. Originally from Egypt, its absolute brings strength and delicateness.

Patchouli

Patchouli is a plant originally from Indonesia and Malaysia. A key element of the perfumer's palette, its essence is obtained by steam distilling the dried leaves. It is used in chypre, woody and amber fragrances.

Perfumer's Word

Because Christian Dior felt as much a Perfumer as a Couturier, he wanted to create fragrances so he could see each of his dresses emerge one by one from the bottles.
