Summer 2025 Men's Show

Live from Paris at 3.00 pm CEST on June 21st

In this collection, I wanted to concentrate on elements of craft, the skills of the Ateliers and artisans who work for the House: this is the lifeblood of Dior. There is always a sense of biography when it comes to the House,

Celebrations

At the convergence of arts and craftsmanship, the scenography for the Dior Summer 2025 show echoes Kim Jones' tribute to Hylton Nel, whose singular aesthetic infuses the collection's looks. Monumental reinterpretations of some of his ceramics – taking the form of cats on the catwalk – represent a dream bestiary with surrealist overtones. A theatrical, dreamlike setting, initiating an impassioned dialogue between the worlds of the Artistic Director and the South African artist, to the tune of Kate Bush's stunning Cloudbusting, specially recorded in a live version for the show.

Dior For My Real Friends

From the artist's studio to that of the couturier, the looks of the Dior Summer 2025 collection sketch powerful connections, more essential than ever between cultures and savoir-faire. Inhabited by Hylton Nel's creative energy, the irresistibly sculptural silhouettes play with textures, shapes and patterns to reproduce – in couture form – his bewitching ceramics. The apron, a traditional workwear garment, adorns certain pants like a subtle belt, while others merge with the drape of a skirt, recalling the iconic Oblique curves.  Combining tailoring and outerwear, elegance and functionality, the models bear rounded volumes, daring captivating mix-and-matches of materials, between enveloping knits and transparent effects.  The Dior archives are reinvented, for instance a sketch of a coat (never made before) by Yves Saint Laurent for autumn-winter 1958-1959. The studs, signature elements of the clogs, are transformed into delicate embroidery. An intimate and universal, infinitely plural panorama of creation.

Ceramic Touch

Continuing the idea of the encounter between the beautiful and the useful infusing the collection's looks, the accessories play on this virtuoso alchemy. The clog – a staple of the workwear wardrobe – is transformed in turn into a biker boot or a derby, modifying its wooden sole and emblematic studded construction with an ultra-functional rubber sole. Superimposed in a play of transparency, the socks are enhanced by Hylton Nel's designs to give the silhouettes an extra touch of audacity. Precious punctuations with a resolutely arty spirit, the scarf collars – inspired by a model thought up by Yves Saint Laurent for the autumn-winter 1960-1961 line and entitled Négatif – seem to be fashioned from ceramic, thanks to an innovative and unique technique.  A material that also adorns the brooches sublimating the lapels of jackets and coats.

Dialogues

Celebrating craftsmanship in all its forms, the Dior Summer 2025 collection  fuses savoir-faire of excellence, tracing a fascinating itinerary from Paris to South Africa, a collective energy and ode to the audacity of dreams.

Reflecting the finesse of ceramics, the collars sublimating the silhouettes of the Dior Summer 2025 collection bring together exceptional techniques. An art of excellence that required months of research, to relive in images.

Between heritage and modernity, Kim Jones reinvents the House's archives, such as an Yves Saint Laurent sketch for autumn-winter 1958-1959. An outstanding coat, reflecting truly unique savoir-faire.
