Diorissimo

Extrait de parfum

description

Diorissimo… A great classic created by Christian Dior in 1956 with the help of renowned perfumer Edmond Roudnitska. A fragrance that evokes freshly picked lily-of-the-valley in the spring. The Extrait de Parfum reveals a stylised lily-of-the-valley with a modern structure. It retains the signature of the initial accord, heightened by an intense concentration. A floral score written around a lily-of-the-valley accord enriched with Essence of Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine Absolute and Rose de Mai Absolute.

The Diorissimo bottle pays tribute to the Dior oval medallion, topped with a glass cabochon in the shape of a hemisphere. Fine silver threads tied around its neck by hand bring out the classical style and pure lines of the bottle. Each bottle is sealed with a baudruche film, adorned with a perfumer bow, and stamped with the Dior initials.

olfactory notes

ESSENCE OF YLANG-YLANG FROM MAYOTTE

Grown in the Comoros archipelago, fresh ylang-ylang flowers are steam distilled to obtain the essence used by perfumers in a number of fragrances. Ylang-ylang offers elegance, volume and originality as the top note of Diorissimo Extrait de Parfum.

LILY OF THE VALLEY ACCORD

Lily of the valley, the symbol of Dior, is frequently associated with good luck. Despite its intense fragrance, this flower is "mute". The perfumer must recompose it into an accord with shades of green, floral, jasmine and ylang-ylang. Sweet and fleeting, it is the heart note of Diorissimo Extrait de Parfum.

EGYPTIAN JASMINE ABSOLUTE

The symbol of feminine softness, jasmine is one of the most commonly used flowers in perfumery. It is so delicate that it alone is a fragrance. Jasmine lavishes an intensely floral base note on Diorissimo Extrait de Parfum.

perfumer''s word

The Extrait is the exalted olfactory idea of an accord. It is the original, principal accord of the fragrance.
