Reflecting the House's innovative spirit, these pieces give access to a Digital Product Passport including a certificate of authenticity, via a private platform the numeric key to which is the NFC chip in the sole of the right-foot shoe. In this exclusive space, the user can benefit from additional information on the different stages of the manufacturing process and be among the first notified of future launches. Thus, Dior operates like a laboratory in constant motion, deploying a collaborative intelligence in search of unprecedented fields of possibility.

HOW TO READ YOUR ENCRYPTED KEY (NFC CHIP):
A. Apple [Apple NFC: Near Field Communication]
i. Where is the NFC sensor located?
For newer iPhones, you may need to tilt your phone to the reader, so the top part of the phone is facing the reader. Pointing your phone straight at the reader, similar to how you would point a remote at a TV.
For older iPhones, the NFC sensor is generally on the back of the phone, either in the center, lower or upper portions. It may take a bit of experimenting to see which angle works best for your phone. If you have used Apple Pay, the same angles you use to pay should work for the Hotspot NFC tags.

iii. Check NFC capabilities of your phone
iPhone XS (Max), iPhone XR, iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro (Max), iPhone 12, iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro (Max), iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro (Max) and iPhone SE models have a ‘Background Tag Reading’ feature. (iPhone Tricks, n.d.) This explanation means reading the NFC tags is read automatically as soon as the iPhone screen is on without needing to toggle the NFC Tag Reader first.
iv. Activate NFC capabilities on iPhone 7 or 8
Swipe up from the bottom of your screen until you load the quick menu. Look for the NFC icon, tap on the icon to turn it on.
If the icon is not visible on your screen, to add it as a shortcut: Open Settings > Select Control Center > Scroll and tap the green plus button on the left of NFC Tag Reader.
B. Samsung [Samsung NFC: Near Field Communication]
i. Where is the NFC sensor located?

ii. Activate NFC capabilities
Open the Settings app > Tap Connections > Tap NFC and contactless payments > Tap the switch to turn NFC on

WHAT IS A DIGITAL CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY AND HOW DO I CLAIM IT? (1)
A. What is a Digital Certificate of Authenticity?
The Digital Certificate of Authenticity associated with your Dior product is bona fide proof of the genuineness of your Dior product.
B. What are the benefits associated with the Digital Certificate of Authenticity?
The Digital Certificate of Authenticity associated with your Dior product will allow you to verify instantly the authenticity of your product, thanks to the information on its provenance stored on the Aura Private blockchain.
You can consult this information in detail by scanning the QR code on your Digital Certificate of Authenticity and learning more on the Aura Product Page dedicated to your purchase.
C. How do I claim my Digital Certificate of Authenticity?
Overview
Only those in possession of the physical Dior product and associated code, shared post purchase via email and SMS, can claim the Digital Certificate of Authenticity for the first time. The code acts as a security measure, to ensure that only purchasers can download their certificate.
Clients must place their phone on the front of the sole of their right shoe to first connect to the platform, and then claim their Digital Certificate of Authenticity.
Claim process
Please follow the steps below to claim your Digital Certificate of Authenticity:
1. Tap the NFC chip situated near the toe of the sole of your right sneaker with your phone and open the notification that appears on your screen. If you have difficulty in activating the NFC chip, please refer to our “How to read an NFC Chip” section for assistance.
2. When the page is opened, you will be invited to log in to your Dior account or create one.
3. After logging in or creating your new Dior account, click on the “Claim Certificate” button to start the claim process.
4. You will now be invited to enter the secure personal code, which will have been shared with you via email or SMS after your purchase. If you have not received your secure personal code, please contact the Dior Client Service Center.
5. After confirming your code and successfully claiming your certificate, you will be able to download it by clicking on the button “Download Certificate”.
6. By clicking on the “Download Certificate” button, you will download it to your native mobile wallet, which will allow you to easily access it at any time.
D. How do I transfer my Digital Certificate of Authenticity?
Overview
Once you have claimed your Digital Certificate of Authenticity for the first time, you may transfer it at any time to a new owner, to allow them the same possibility to prove authenticity.
Transfer process
Please follow the steps below to transfer your Digital Certificate of Authenticity.
1. Click on the “Transfer Ownership” button to have access to a message that will ask you to confirm that you are sure about transferring the digital ownership of your product.
2. After confirming that you want to transfer your Digital Certificate of Authenticity, a QR Code will appear on your screen, accompanied by a “Share” button.
Option 1 – QR Code:
If you want to use the QR Code process, the future owner of the Digital Certificate of Authenticity will need to scan it, opening the claim process on their own mobile device.
Option 2 – “Share” Button:
Alternatively, you may choose to click on the “Share” button, which will enable you to select your method and/or platform of choice to transfer a link to the new owner, who will be able to open the claim process on their own mobile device.
