Christian Dior Couture creates, designs, manufactures and sells men’s, women’s, and children's haute couture and ready-to wear items, fashion accessories, shoes, lifestyle products, watches, and fine jewelry worldwide bearing Christian Dior Couture labels, such as: Christian Dior, Dior, Baby Dior, Dior Joaillerie, Dior Maison, and CD (together, the “Christian Dior Couture Items”).

To better meet its customers’ expectations, in addition to its stores and distribution network, Christian Dior Couture has created a system for making distance sales of a selection of Christian Dior Couture Items (hereinafter the “Items”) by telephone and via internet.

1. Scope and acceptance of the General Terms of Sale

The Items are sold to individuals for their own personal purposes, unrelated to any commercial activity (hereinafter the “Customer(s)” or “you” and “your” shall be construed accordingly).

You therefore confirm that you are acting as a consumer and do not intend to resell the Items for commercial purposes.

You also certify that you have legal capacity to agree to these General Terms of Sale.

Every time you purchase an Item or Items on the Site, you must indicate that you agree to the applicable Christian Dior Couture General Terms of Sale and Privacy Policy (hereinafter the “Privacy Policy”) by clicking “Pay”. You may view these documents before and at the time of confirming your purchase.

Christian Dior Couture may update and modify these General Terms of Sale, and will inform its Customers of such changes by email. The terms that apply to Item sales are those that are in effect at the time the sale contract is formed.

For further information on how Christian Dior Couture processes the personal data it collects on the Site and/or by phone, Customers are invited to read the Privacy Policy

By clicking “Proceed to payment” you are placing a firm order for the Item or Items in your Cart.

Please read these General Terms of Sale and the Privacy Policy carefully before submitting your order to us, and proceed by clicking on “Validate my payment and confirm my order”.

Once confirmed after review, customised ABCDior orders will be definitively approved.

2.2.4 Confirmation of the order by Christian Dior Couture

Once you have completed the steps described in Term 2.2.3 above, you will be sent an order acknowledgement by email. Unless expressly indicated otherwise, the acknowledgement of receipt of the order does not constitute acceptance of your order.

The sale contract is deemed to have been formed when the Item or Items you ordered is or are shipped and you have received a separate email from Christian Dior Couture informing you that your order has been shipped.

If you pay with a credit card, the sale contract is formed when your credit card is debited as provided in Term 6 hereof, even if your credit card is debited before your order is shipped or before acceptance is expressed another way.

If you pay via PayPal, Apple Pay, or Apple Pay express as provided in Term 6.2, the sale contract is deemed to have been formed when you confirm your order on the PayPal, Apple Pay, or Apple Pay express site.

The acknowledgement of receipt of your order includes the order number, the total amount of the order, delivery cost and delivery date information, and the key features, quantity, and price of the Item(s) purchased. The acknowledgement of receipt also includes a link to the General Terms of Sale.

Payment for a customised ABCDior order occurs once the review has been approved.

2.2.5 Pre-Order Service

At our sole discretion, you may have the option to pre-order certain Item(s) on our Site indicated as eligible for pre-order prior to their official release date(s) (“Pre-Order(s)”).

Please note that, unless stated otherwise in these General Terms of Sale, any provisions of these General Terms of Sale that apply to orders will also apply to Pre-Orders.

Pre-orders will be available on selected Items and can be made [by completing the steps provided in Term 2.2.3 above].

If you wish to Pre-Order an Item, please take notice that you will be asked to pay a deposit in an amount equal to the full price of Item(s) (as defined in Term 5 below) on the same day that the Pre-Order is made.

Before placing a Pre-Order, we will inform you of the estimated date of delivery of the Item. Please note a delay of several weeks is to be expected between the date the Pre-Order is placed and the shipment of the Item. Christian Dior Couture makes its best efforts to provide you with information as to the date of delivery of the Pre-Ordered Item and we will inform you of any delays to the delivery date (see Term 7 below).

2.2.6 Confirmation of Pre-Order

Once you have placed your Pre-Order, your Item(s) will be reserved, and you will be sent a Pre-Order acknowledgement by email. This Pre-Order acknowledgement includes the Pre-Order number, the total amount of the Pre-Order, delivery cost and estimated date of delivery, and the key features, quantity, and price of the Item(s) Pre-Ordered. The Pre-Order acknowledgement also includes a link to the General Terms of Sale and a deposit receipt as proof of your Pre-Order.

In the event of a Pre-Order, the sale contract is deemed to have been formed when the Item or Items you ordered is or are shipped and you have received a separate email from Christian Dior Couture informing you that your order has been shipped, even if you have paid a deposit and received a deposit receipt before your order is shipped or before acceptance is expressed another way.

Once the Item or Items you ordered is or are shipped you will be sent a final invoice which will acknowledge that a deposit for the Pre-Order has already been paid in full.

2.3 Proof of order

In general, you and Christian Dior Couture expressly agree that emails and the automatic recording systems used by Customer Care are treated as proof of your order, in particular, the content and date of your order.
Christian Dior Couture retains all information related to orders totaling one hundred twenty euros (€120) or more for ten (10) years, and will make such information available at your request sent to contactdioreu@dior.com, or to Christian Dior Couture – Service Relation Clientèle, 11 bis rue François 1er - BP39, 75008 Paris
However, for orders placed through the Site, we recommend that you also keep a copy (electronic or paper) of your order information.

3. Item availability

Christian Dior Couture reserves the right to change the Item(s) offered on the Site at any time and without prior notice. Such changes will not affect orders that have already been placed.

Before you place an order, Customer Care (for phone orders) or the Site’s information page describing each Item will tell you:

- whether or not the Item is available; or
- if the Item is temporarily unavailable, whether you can order it for future delivery in the specified timeframe.

If, despite Christian Dior Couture's efforts in this regard, you order Items that are no longer available, or are out of stock, Christian Dior Couture will inform you as soon as possible using any means (phone or email). You will receive a full refund on the payment method used for the transaction.

4. Non-acceptance of order

Purchases made on the Site or by phone are solely for the Customers’ own use (or for gifts), not for resale.

Christian Dior Couture may refuse any fraudulent order, in particular any order that exceeds the purchase limits set out below:

- eight (8) Items per order; and/or
- two (2) identical Items ordered within thirty (30) calendar days, regardless of color or size.

The limits indicated in the previous paragraph do not apply to Items in the Home and Men’s Timeless categories (men’s “Ready-to-Wear”, i.e., suits and tuxedos, suit jackets, shirts, and trousers; and Men's “Accessories”, i.e., belts, ties, bow ties, pocket handkerchiefs, cuff links, and button covers).

Christian Dior Couture may also refuse any order (i) made by a Customer with whom there is a dispute related to the payment or delivery of a previous order, or (ii) that does not comply with these General Terms of Sale.

If Christian Dior Couture finds that your order does not comply with these General Terms of Sale, it will notify you directly on the Site, by phone, or by email.
If you do not correct the information in your order that is incorrect or contrary to these General Terms of Sale within fourteen (14) calendar days of receiving such notification, Christian Dior Couture may cancel the order and the corresponding payment, and you will receive a refund of the price you paid for your order.

5. Item prices - Billing

Prices are indicated by Customer Care or displayed on the Site in euros (€) and include all taxes, but do not include delivery charges, which are displayed separately before the order is placed.

The prices billed are the prices in effect on the date of the order, provided the ordered Item(s) are available at that time.

Christian Dior Couture reserves the right to change the prices of the Item(s) at any time and without prior notice, but such changes will not apply to any orders you have already placed.

Distance purchases (via phone or the Site) of Christian Dior Couture Items do not qualify for a VAT refund.

In accordance with your legal rights, you will receive written confirmation of the price paid for each Item and your delivery costs no later than at the time of delivery.

6. Payment

6.1 Payment by Credit Card or Debit Card

You may pay for your purchases by credit or debit card. Cards from the "CB" network, Visa©, Eurocard©, MasterCard©, American Express©, and Apple Pay© are accepted. Cards issued by banks based outside of France must be international credit cards.

To use these payment methods when ordering by phone, you must confirm to Customer Care and guarantee to Christian Dior Couture that you are the licensed cardholder of the card used to pay for the order and that the first and last name on that card are yours. You must also provide the card number, expiration date, and security code shown on the card when ordering by phone, via a secure website, or via a third-party platform that sends a payment link.

When ordering on the Site, you will access a secure server that operates in SSL mode (128 bits) after validating your bank details.

In this way, your transaction is carried out in accordance with banking security standards. Authentication is specific to each bank. By providing your credit or debit card number and/or bank details to Christian Dior Couture by phone or on the Site, you unconditionally agree in advance that Christian Dior Couture may proceed with the secure transaction and preauthorize your bank to debit your account upon receipt of the records or statements sent by Christian Dior Couture, even in the absence of receipts signed by the cardholder.

Save in respect of Pre-Orders (in respect of which the provisions of Term 2.2.6 above apply), the sale contract is formed when your credit card is debited if it is debited before the Item(s) is or are shipped, or where Items have been expressly accepted another way. However, this does not apply to any deposits paid.

6.2 Payment via PayPal (Internet orders only)

Christian Dior Couture accepts payment via Paypal (for orders placed on the Site only).

When you are submitting your order, choose the Paypal payment option; you will be redirected automatically to the Paypal platform.

You must then connect to your PayPal account using your login and password. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can create one at this time. After submitting your order with PayPal, you will be redirected to the Site’s confirmation page.

The order will be shipped only after the payment method has been verified, authorisation to debit your card or confirmation from Paypal has been received, and your order’s compliance with these General Terms of Sale and the availability of the Item(s) has been confirmed.

7. Delivery

Items may be only delivered in Ireland. If you want to order an Item and have it delivered to a country other than Ireland, you must place your order on the relevant Site of that country (if there is one).

For security reasons, Christian Dior Couture will not process any order for which the delivery or billing address is a PO box, and will deliver to a hotel or student residence only if you opt for express delivery with proof of personal delivery.

You may also have any Items that are gifts delivered to another individual in Ireland.

After payment of your order has been processed, the Items will be delivered to the delivery address you indicate when ordering. Please take care to provide the correct delivery address to Christian Dior Couture at the time of ordering.

Once your payment has been received, the ordered Items will be delivered:

- on the date or within the timeframe Christian Dior Couture indicated to you before your order was confirmed or, if no timeframe was given, no later than thirty (30) days from the order date unless there is a delay outside of our control;
- if that Item is temporarily unavailable, within the timeframe you were informed of and that you accepted (i) when you placed your order by phone with Customer Care, or (ii) when you added that Item to your Cart on the Site, as well as before your order was accepted.

Depending on the option you select, Christian Dior Couture will ship the ordered Items by standard mail or express courier with proof of personal delivery, or deliver them to a store for collection.

Our standard delivery services is offered free of charge. Additional delivery charges are applicable for the express courier service with proof of personal delivery, except for orders above one thousand three hundred euros (€1,300) which shall receive complimentary express delivery. You will be informed of the express delivery cost before you complete your order.

If delivery of the Items is delayed by an event beyond Christian Dior Couture's control, you will be contacted as soon as possible and steps will be taken to mitigate the effects of the delay. Provided Christian Dior Couture makes its best efforts to reduce the delay, we will not be liable for the delay caused by the event. However, if there is a risk of significant delay, you may contact Christian Dior Couture to cancel the contract and obtain a refund for any Item that you have paid for but have not received.

If UPS is unable to deliver (after 3 unsuccessful attempts) and the package is returned the Christian Dior Couture warehouse with the indication “No Longer At This Address”, Christian Dior Couture will attempt to contact you twice in the four (4) weeks following receipt of the package at the warehouse. If you do not reply or contact us within those four (4) weeks, Christian Dior Couture will refund the order and send an email confirmation to you at the address you provided when placing the order.

8. In-store collection

Whenever the “In-store collection” option is offered when you are placing an order, you may choose to collect your order in one of the Christian Dior Couture stores which offers this service. This service is available only in certain Christian Dior Couture stores in Ireland and only for certain Items. This information will be highlighted before you place your order.

The Item will be made available at the selected location within the timeframe indicated by Christian Dior Couture in Term 7.

You will be informed immediately by email and/or text message once the order is available in the store. You will then have fourteen (14) days to collect your order at that store.

To collect your order, you must present the collection alert you received by email or text message, as well as a valid form of ID. Your identity will be checked and a copy of your ID may be made, which you expressly agree to by selecting the collection option. You may also have someone collect your order for you, on the following conditions. The individual you choose must present (i) his/her own ID, (ii) the order confirmation email you received, and (iii) the duly dated and signed authorisation for collection by a that individual.
A sample collection authorisation form is provided in the appendix to these General Terms of Sale.

Please note you have a legal obligation to take reasonable care of the Item(s) while they are in your possession, and you will be responsible for any diminished value of the Item(s) resulting from handling Item(s) beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. We may reduce the refund to reflect any loss in value to the Item(s) if that loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF AFTER-SALES SERVICES

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE OF AFTER-SALES SERVICES

1. These General Terms and Conditions govern the After-Sales Services (hereinafter "After-Sales Services" or "Services") provided by the company Christian Dior Couture which manages the store in which the Customer's request for assistance is made (hereinafter "Dior").

2. Upon delivery of the product to Dior by the Customer (or any person authorised by the Customer, in writing, to do so in the Customer's name and on the Customer's behalf), Dior, in conjunction with the Customer, shall photograph and analyse the product, identifying all visible signs (including but not limited to tears, pre-existing damage, soiling, etc.). All visible signs were duly noted on the form signed electronically by the Customer upon delivery of the product (hereinafter the "CARE Form") and documented by taking photographs, which were viewed by the Customer and reproduced on the After-Sales Service Form. The After-Sales Services that the Customer has asked Dior to perform are also described in this CARE Form, which the Customer will receive by email or, on request, in paper format.

3. The product is deemed to be delivered to Dior without any loose or attached items. In this respect, Dior is not responsible for (i) any objects attached to the product or loose (e.g. those left in pockets) that were not detected during the aforementioned analysis of the product nor for (ii) any damage resulting from or caused by the aforementioned objects.

4. The product is sent to the workshop or to their place of manufacture to be examined in detail by Dior's craftsmen and experts. They will determine whether the defect or problem that led the Customer to request After Sales Services is covered by the warranty, the feasibility of repair where this option has been chosen by the Customer, the estimated timeframe to carry out the repair and, where the defect or problem is not covered by the warranty, the estimated cost to carry out the Services. Where this information differs from the information provided in the above form, the Customer will be informed as soon as possible and if the Customer ultimately incurs costs or expenses in excess of those estimated in the above form, the Customer will be provided with a quotation which must, if accepted by the Customer, be confirmed by return email with the words "Agreed to quotation no. [quotation no.]" before the Services can be performed. If the Customer refuses the new conditions, the Dior store that made the request for After-Sales Services will contact the Customer as soon as the product is ready for collection so that the Customer can collect it (or have it collected) from the said store.

5. The Client understands and accepts that even when the product and the Services have been indicated as covered by the warranty in the above form, the craftsmen and experts may, in particular with regard to the deteriorated condition of the product, find that the product has not been used normally and that the warranty is therefore void. In this case, the Customer will be informed in writing and the procedure will be as described in Article 4 above. If the craftsmen and experts confirm that the product is covered by the warranty but indicate that the product cannot be restored, the Customer will be offered a full or partial refund or replacement, suggested to him/her in writing. For more information on legal warranties, the Customer is requested to consult the Dior general terms and conditions of sale available in the stores as well as articles L.217-3 to L.217-20 of the French Consumer Code relating to the legal warranty of conformity and articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code relating to the warranty against hidden defects.

6. Dior will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that all After Sales Services are performed to the highest possible standards.

7. Both, in the event that Dior performs After-Sales Services and that Dior and its craftsmen and experts have determined that the product is not repairable, Dior will contact the Customer (first by telephone and then, if the Customer does not respond, by e-mail) to inform the Customer that the product is ready for collection in the same store where the request for After-Sales Services was made. The Customer must collect the product within 3 months of such notification. If the product is not collected within 3 months of Dior's first written notice, Dior will send a second written notice to the Customer, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt (to the address indicated on the CARE Form) informing the Customer that if the product is not collected by the end of a new period of 15 months from the first presentation of this registered letter constituting the second notice, Dior will be able to dispose of the product in any way whatsoever (including by destroying it and, where possible, recycling it). In fact, any delay in collecting the product after the expiry of this second collection period causes prejudice to Dior because of the costs incurred for the custody and maintenance of the product. By signing these general terms and conditions of After-Sales Services, communicated to the Customer at the time of dropping off of the product and before signing the CARE Form, the Customer expressly acknowledges and accepts that, by way of derogation from the law of 31 December 1903, Dior may dispose of the product that has not collected within the allotted time period, without the Customer being able to claim any compensation whatsoever from Dior.

8. The product can be collected by the Customer by presenting a copy of the CARE form and/or, if applicable, the final quotation, accompanied by his/her identity document. The Customer may also use a proxy document, which was sent to him/her by email at the same time as the After Sales Service Form and these general terms and conditions, to appoint a person authorised to collect the product on his/her behalf (hereinafter the "Designated Person"). To collect the product, the Designated Person must present the proxy form, duly completed and signed by the Customer, a copy of the After Sales Service Form and, if applicable, the final quotation, duly signed by the Customer, a copy of the Customer's identity document and his/her own identity document.

9. In all cases where the warranty has been declared void, all amounts due for the After-Sales Service that have not been paid in full at the time of collection of the product must be paid at once on the day of collection of the product. Otherwise, the product will not be returned to the Customer. The Customer is not entitled to any refund on the After-Sales Service unless he/she can prove that the Service was incorrectly rendered (repair not carried out or incorrectly carried out, replacement by a different product without the Customer's agreement).

10. Dior attaches great importance to the protection of its intellectual property rights and to compliance with the law. As a result, Dior does not repair products that violate any law or regulation, particularly when they have been identified as stolen or counterfeit. Furthermore, by signing these general terms and conditions of use of the After-Sales Services, the Customer authorises Dior, whenever the circumstances justify it (i) to keep the infringing products with a view to destroying them and, where possible, recycling them and/or for the purposes of investigations, in particular judicial investigations and/or, where applicable, as evidence against the perpetrator of the infringement or breach of a law or regulation and (ii) to communicate the Customer's personal data to the competent authorities if Dior is obliged to do so by law or by these same authorities. Buying Dior products in Dior stores and from its authorised distributors is the best way to ensure the authenticity of a Dior product.

11. These general terms and conditions of use of the After-Sales Services are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute concerning the After-Sales Services, the Customer may seek an amicable solution by contacting us by email or telephone or contact the consumer ombudsman of the Centre de Médiation et d'Arbitrage de Paris (CMAP [Paris mediation and arbitration centre]), by filling in the dedicated form on the website www.cmap.fr, by sending his/her request by post to CMAP Médiation Consommation, 39, avenue Franklin D. Roosevelt, 75008 PARIS or by email to consommation@cmap.fr. Recourse to mediation is an alternative dispute resolution mechanism, which is not a prerequisite for taking legal action. The Client may therefore take legal action against Dior without having had recourse or attempted to have recourse to mediation. In the absence of an amicable solution or recourse to mediation, all disputes relating to these general terms and conditions shall be submitted to the competent court in application of the rules laid down by the French Code of Civil Procedure and the French Consumer Code. The Customer may file a lawsuit in the courts of (i) the place where Dior is domiciled; or (ii) the place where the Customer is domiciled; or (iii) the place where the After Sales Services are performed.

GENDER PAY GAP REPORT (1)

The Equality Act 2010 (Gender Pay Gap Information) Regulations 2017 require the company to publish our gender pay gap taking the snapshot date of the 5th April 2023.

Christian Dior is committed to equal opportunities and the promotion of diversity and equality in the workplace. We have a strong policy on the management of equal opportunities.  Diversity and openness to others are fundamental values for us, ensuring fairness for all our employees in terms of jobs and development, by guaranteeing equal opportunities based on objective criteria. We are convinced that diversity, in all its forms, is a source of wealth and creativity for our teams.

The reports show the ‘Median’ and ‘Mean’ pay gap for the total population. In 2023, 2.4% of our population were employed at Senior Executive level which distorts the UK Mean value.

In addition, one of the Senior Executive responsibilities are not comparable to the rest of the positions within our network. Due to this, the salary and bonus of this position is not a true reflection of the gender pay gap and we have produced figures including and excluding this position.

Our higher female population is consistent within the luxury retail market and remains an objective to have a split of 40/60 male versus female with an even divide of Senior Executives for the future.

Our results show the ‘Median’ & ‘Mean’ pay gap as at the snapshot date of the 5th April 2023. Both our mean and median has decreased showing a greater parity between our gender pay.

      -  Mean of 11.27% in 2022 vs 5.46% in 2023

      -  Median of 1.97% in 2022 vs 1.4% in 2023

In the lower quartile, the split of male versus female has improved by 23 points, a mix of 28% male & 72% female. It is noted that within this level it includes internships receiving entry level rate of pay, of which 83% are female distorting the lower quartile results.

The mean and median gender pay gap by pay quartile remains at a minimal difference with the exception of lower and upper quartiles. The lower middle and upper middle quartile show there is parity in gender pay and represents 50% of the total population.

The upper quartile mean has reduced by 60% and the median has remained stable. With the senior executive noted previously removed we reach a stronger gender pay comparative.

Bonus is a contractual benefit for management and head office positions, those in receipt of a bonus are 39% of the population for both genders.  Our female demographic is 64% and this is reflected within the median & mean, the bonus allocated is equal for both genders within their employed positions.
