For Dior, leaving behind a legacy of beauty means devoting particular attention to formulas.
Safety Comes First
All Dior products are compliant with the most stringent international laws and satisfy our own specific internal standards of quality development and traceability.
At our laboratories and in collaboration with external partners, we at Parfums Christian Dior use over 600 analytical methods to assess our raw materials and finished products. To ensure the high tolerance of our finished products, these materials and products are evaluated under medical supervision using in-vitro and clinical tests.
Ever More Stringent Formulas
Going above and beyond regulatory requirements, Dior excludes the following ingredients from the formulation of new products while seeking alternatives that will maintain these products’ sensory qualities and performance:
• BHA (butylhydroxyanisole), diethyl phthalate, formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, ethanolamine, homosalate, palm oil and palm oil derivatives not certified by the RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil), methylisothiazolinone/methylchloroisothiazolinone, octocrylene, oxybenzone and other benzophenones, parabens, cyclic silicones (cyclohexasiloxane, cyclopentasiloxane), aluminum salts, triclocarban, triclosan, triethanolamine •
Ever More Sustainable Natural Ingredients
We stand by our conviction that sustainable beauty begins with natural, sustainable ingredients.
Dior is part of a pioneering multi-brand initiative for environmentally conscious ratings of beauty products. We evaluate the sustainability of each natural ingredient through its impact on several environmental parameters and on society. However, we do not exclude synthetic ingredients that offer a better sustainability profile.
As a member of the Union for Ethical BioTrade (UEBT), Dior is committed to continuously improving its impact on biodiversity and society.
